Queen for a Day

I have recently had a bit of creative block, sitting at my desk with a blank stare...so I went online. I have bookmarked on my iPad a list of crafty bloggers which usually inspire me. The talent is endless and I feel I pale in comparison at times.

As a demonstrator we have a wonderful online community called Stampin' Connect, it is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator only access site (one of the many great things about being a SU demo whether you do it just for a hobby or a business). It has a great forum of with discussions ranging from how to multi use a tool, to how to have successful and financial rewarding workshops.

My favourite pages would be the Stampers Showcase, where demonstrators are encourage to post pictures of their beautiful work. It allows us to see the beautiful creative talents of our wonderful SU community. As I have discussed on a previous post we love to CASE (copy and share everything) our projects. I have to give credit to a fellow SU demo Yvonne Pree for my creation below she is my Queen for a Day. I enjoy teaching paper crafts but also love learning from my peers.

The card above resembles a dressing screen from the Victorian era. This beautiful Timeless Portrait designer series paper reminds of the gorgeous wall paper of that time. The cute little Trinket Crowns in the current catalog are to die for and even more darling matched up with the You're a Gem greeting stamp set. I have also used the Established Elegance stamp set which help give it more of an old world charm. The Island Indigo paper with it's coordinating inks and  ribbons have become a bit of a favourite of mine lately and I tend to find myself drawn to it lately.

Go to my Contact Me page if you are interested in any of these products used in this project or becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator (remember you can just be a hobbyist and receive the same discounts).

Happy crafting,
